Be Thankful in ALL Things

Monday Nov 22, 2021

Monday Nov 22, 2021

Blessed Thanksgiving! Thank you for giving prayerfully & tangibly this past year to help further the mission of Mighty in the Land Ministry.
One of the best antidotes to adversity I have found is Thanksgiving. Give thanks to God in every circumstance, whether good or difficult. It will shift your perspective & your attitude heavenward, & uplift your spirit.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks." (1 Thes 5:16-18)

Fear is a Liar. Don't FEAR death.

Wednesday Mar 31, 2021

Wednesday Mar 31, 2021

Release your fear of death.  Jesus conquered death on the cross of Calvary.  Don't remain captive to your fear of death. “Do not be afraid, for I am with you." (Isaiah 43:5) "But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You." (Psalm 56:3) "For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying." (Hebrews 2:14-15)

God's Word is sweeter than honey, more precious than your paycheck, and more delicious than cookies.  Savor it every day.
"The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb." (Psalm 19:7-11,14)
"Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!" (Psalm 34:8)

Regrets or No Regrets?

Thursday Mar 25, 2021

Thursday Mar 25, 2021

None of us knows what tomorrow may bring.  Make the most of today."Teach us to make the most of our time…" Psalm 90:12"Make the most of every opportunity for doing good…" Ephesians 5:16"Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring." Proverbs 27:1

Hope Against Hope

Tuesday Mar 23, 2021

Tuesday Mar 23, 2021

"As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you." (Psalm 42:1-2) "Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping..." (Romans 4:18-21)

Meditate on God's Word

Monday Mar 22, 2021

Monday Mar 22, 2021

Devour God's Word every day.  No Bible - no breakfast, no Bible - no bed.  "But if I say, “I will not mention His word or speak anymore in His name,” His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." (Jeremiah 20:9)  "Blessed is the one who... meditates on His law day and night." (Psalm 1:1-6)

Friday Mar 19, 2021

"So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." (Hebrews 4:14-16)  Whatever you're feeling, remember...Jesus felt it, too. Run to Him.

God's Rest - Original Song

Wednesday Mar 17, 2021

Wednesday Mar 17, 2021

This is an original song that my sister and I composed together.  Saint Augustine said, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee."  Rest in God's loving arms.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Mat 11:28-30)

The Gift of God's Rest

Tuesday Mar 16, 2021

Tuesday Mar 16, 2021

Take vital time to rest your mind, your spirit, and your body.  You'll never regret it.  Take time to pray alone - without interruptions. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat." (Mark 6:31) "On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work." (Genesis 2:2)

Hear Our Prayer - Heal Our Land

Saturday Mar 13, 2021

Saturday Mar 13, 2021

Pray earnestly like Daniel for our country: "So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed:... we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. We have refused to listen to your servants the prophets, who spoke on your authority to our kings and princes and ancestors and to all the people of the land." (Daniel 9:3-11)
