God is concerned about the thoughts, words, and motives of our heart.   Healthy horizontal relationships are vital to a healthy vertical relationship with God. "The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) “You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder... But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment!" (Matthew 5:21-25,27-28)
